|Target Version||0.0.1||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0000894: Ability to switch log files without disconnecting|
|Description||You're out in your car tuning and you decide you want to record a WOT run for analysis. You don't want to analyse/crop the huge file you've inadvertently recorded while tuning for the last hour. You just want that bit. You also don't want to disconnect/lose state. You just want a new identifiable file.|
So you click a new button/choose a new menu item "new log" and up pops a dialog with the default time stamp file name in it, which you then edit to be "purposeOfLog.<default>.bin" and hit OK. when you're done with your WOT pull, you click it again, and this time leave the default in place. You then drive home and kill the car.
The end result is this:
1 BIG log with all tuning changes recorded
1 small concise log with just your WOT pull in it, named, easy to find/remember
1 medium log of you driving home with default time stamp name
You get home and fire up your fav log viewer and load it up, easy to find because you named it.
