Fred: packet to turn the bastards off
BenFenner: Yah, you're gunn ahave to explain that one too. =]
BenFenner: What's happening now, why is it happening, and what needs to be done to fix it.
Fred: i just realised i told you the payload id is 304 for both, but its only 304 for the datalog control packet
Fred: ok
Fred: whats happening is that the tuner has poor performance
Fred: and
Fred: some how the data requests are ignored when the datalogs are flooding
Fred: there is a command to turn them off
Fred: there is also one to ask for them one at a time
BenFenner: Data requests from the tuner of the firmware?
Fred: yeah
BenFenner: So the tuner asks for data while the EMS is flodding the tuner with data and the request is ignored?
Fred: yes
Fred: not sure why
Fred: but cant test it while its flooding
Fred: so need to disable and reenable
BenFenner: You have a command in your firmware I can use to stop the data logging (isn't that a request in a flood?) and/or tell it to send one at a time?
Fred: yes, to the command
Fred: yes its a request
Fred: but no, they arent totally ignored
BenFenner: k
Fred: they just dont seem to return data
Fred: but can reset and control stuff
Fred: etc

Tuner SO does not have "poor" performance :P

geez... ungrateful %%(*&$R% :P

I was thinking on and an off buttons on the data log display page

Fred: Sure, just source the byte for the ON from a field and default it to 0x01 so that I can turn on other types when I get them going :-)
