|Summary||0000725: COM Port Drop Down Box|
|Description||COM port drop down box displays "COM1" and "COM1" as defaults. No other ports shown in drop down list. I manually typed "COM2" and it worked. Either populate the drop down box with all ports available on host or kill drop down box feature and replace with a text entry box where the user types in their desired port. Current arrangement is slightly confusing, prone to errors.|
|Steps To Reproduce||open loader. |
select com port drop down box.

|Risk of Breakage||medium|
I will drop, right now as its a quick fix and add proper port searching soon!
|I'd leave it, so you don't have to re-add it later. Why not create a "findAvailablePorts()" function and stub the insides with fixed list for windows from 1-9 and just read the /dev dir for ttyS* and ttyUSB* devices on Linux, and similar on mac (it's a little different though). Then it's a step in the right direction, not backwards.|
