Summary0000680: Display discrepancies on win 7 starter spanish edition
DescriptionNo idea if they're present on non spanish or other win editions.

1) Top circle doesn't display with a single division and the record count trace loaded 0000688
2) The buttons are ugly, though I don't expect this changed, it's part of another issue. 0000689
3) The key one: Hover info unavailable. Only displays each side of the data, not in the data. 0000691
4) When you move the mouse quickly into the data the position freezes where it was last drawn before entering. On a slow machine this can be somewhere that isn't the end pixel of the trace. Why it stops, though, I have no idea. 0000691 too
Additional InformationOn a commit descended from your current master ade75254e0dfc with no graphical change bar the about box stuff which simply can't have had an effect on this.

Doesn't happen on linux or mac, they appear to work normally.

What is a top circle?

What do you mean by "Only displays each side of the data, not in the data"?

5k samples zoomed in, always increasing in value, end points of trace. I took a vid of the behaviours, and a screeny, so I may upload.

You mean the trace end markers don't display? Are you sure the end points are within your requested min/max data window?

Screen shot would be pretty nice.

Video would be baller.

Screeny shows ugly buttons, not relevant to this issue at all, actually. Woops.

No end marker screeny uploaded! And yes, default min/max were in place, verified.

In the latest screen shot the mouse is over the word count near the centre line. Because I moved it quickly, it stuck off to the left. If I'd gone slowly it'd be bang on the end pixel. It should be under the mouse with data showing. Won´t do it.

Side point, log loaded is wrong size, so all zeros cept for the record count, but that shouldn't matter at all.

If you need the video to understand the behaviour, let me know.

If there isn't another issue about unifying the look of the buttons across all platforms, then we should make one and link this issue (instead of uploading the screeny a second time).

Just ran a .jar version, same behaviour. To rule out my changes from any effect on this.

There isn't an issue for button look yet. Although, from the looks of it we need to bring back setBorder(false) if I had to make an initial guess.

I can check Windows 7 Ultimate behavior, although that's with the Classic theme... Stupid Aero...

I'll make a new issue for the buttons come next week if you want.

As for the rest of it, I should be okay without the video. I'll get to the bottom of it. If you could upload the log somewhere that would be a huge help.

Let's not fuck with the buttons at all, until we make the behaviour identical on all platforms as per the new issue next week, and in a later release.

The log is on the forum here: http://forum.diyefi.org/download/file.php?id=826 [^]

And, it DOES do the "no end circle" thing with Linux and just that trace, whether it loads OK or not. So just use the above file, load that field with default window, and you should see it.

But it doesn't do the weird no hover thing on Linux. That's win specific fuckage.

With the log in question I've reproduced the error here on my Windows XP dev machine. However...

I asked: "Are you sure the end points are within your requested min/max data window?"

And Fred said: "yes, default min/max were in place, verified."

Which is just confusing as crap. I see the default min/max set from 0 - 4850, which is not right since the last data point in the trace has a value of 4851.0. Which explains why the point doesn't show up.

So the default min/max is getting calculated incorrectly some how.

Can we change the name and nature of the ticket to reflect the nature of the issue and the platforms affected?

Doh! Yes, change name, assign to me, and give me some shit in the process. Thanks. Does it do it with CSV?

Yes, it does the same thing on the OLV Record Count trace for CSV logs.

OK, that's probably good. I'll take care of it.

All of these have their own issue now. Should we close this one?

No, add them all as children of this one.
