|Platform||Apple Mac||OS||OS X||OS Version||10.6|
|Target Version||0.0.1||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0000622: Create scripts/process to generate release binary installer for Mac OS X|
|Description||In DMG or PKG format. I can assist with this as I have one to test on, though I don't have time to do it all from scratch. Perhaps install a hackintosh for testing?|
|Additional Information||The DMG stuff is pretty easy, the trick will be providing a statically linked version, or including runtime deps from macports with the installer.|
The done thing is a folder in the image that is self contained. You drop it in the apps dir and it just works. The macports build process doesn't quite work like that, though. Again, I can help, but I can't do the homework and scripts etc.

"Again, I can help, but I can't do the homework and scripts etc."
I have no Intel mac hardware, and I have been unable to get OSX running on any hardware that I DO have (via hackintosih), or a virtual machine. Not sure where to go from there.
|What I was trying to say was that you should do the research, and I will try it out on your behalf :-) It can wait, perhaps there are others who could help with this too.|
